ABOUT SEMILLA CULTURAL
Semilla Cultural is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is raising cultural awareness by teaching and performing the Puerto Rican musical genre of Bomba, as well as educating the community as to the historical events that shaped this music. They were founded in January 2014 with the goal of empowering the community through Afro-Puerto Rican music and dance. Semilla Cultural is composed by a group of volunteers that are united by their love and respect for Puerto Rican culture and who are committed to preserve and disseminate this legacy left by their ancestors with pride and respect.
