Romeo, oh Romeo! Where have you been? This fast-paced all-male production takes Shakespeare’s timeless tale of love and loss and reimagines it through the power and intimacy of dance. “Romeo and Juliet” are now “Romeo and Julian.” In this bold new staging, Romeo unfolds through breathtaking movement and physical storytelling showing the profound connection between two men whose love challenges the world around them. Set to the music of popular artists like Rihanna, Maneskin, Madonna, Garbage, and The Irrepressibles, dancers masterfully blend sultry storytelling with the timeless emotions that come with finding true love. Through soaring duets, electrifying ensemble work, and emotionally-charged choreography, this is Romeo as you’ve never seen it before.

Four immigrants from Germany, India, Peru, and Senegal navigate the "obstacle race" of integration—confronting the systemic complexities and cultural contradictions of their new home. Through song and storytelling and with plenty of humor, wit, and sharp satire, they celebrate, dramatize, and humorize these unique chronicles while reflecting the breadth of U.S. culture and its complex and ever-changing relationships to the world.  

At the heart of this special event is a rare, intimate roundtable with members of three of New Orleans’ most influential civil rights families — the Francis, Landrieu, and Morial families — whose leadership represents a powerful, enduring legacy that helped shape not just New Orleans but the broader arc of American democracy.
