For one night only, RAWRA with Feeling debuts genre-bending songs and screenplay excerpts from Eat Me, Joanie about reparenting your inner drag monster amidst local and personal crisis. There will be shiny and sparkle. There will be gay tears. There will be grace. There will be facing fears. Eat Me, Joanie follows Frida, a late-bloomer Latinx queer, transforming their relationship with Joanie, their drag monster and personified inner critic and mental disorder, while they navigate what it means to be an present member of society.

Rooted in storytelling, this original work amplifies various narratives through a fusion of movement, voice, and sound—creating an intimate and powerful reflection on Black identity.

VOCA: A Strange Loop

Meet Usher: a Black, Deaf queer writer writing a musical about a black, Deaf queer writer. This blisteringly funny masterwork exposes the heart and soul of a young artist grappling with desires, identity, and instincts he both loves and loathes. All performances will be in spoken English, American Sign Language (ASL), and captions.
