Few musicals have left a mark on Broadway quite like the legendary CHICAGO—and it’s coming to Atlas Performing Arts Center to give DC the old razzle dazzle! Roxie Hart is a chorus girl with stars in her eyes and blood on her hands, navigating the sultry, seedy world of 1920s Chicago, where scandal and celebrity are two sides of the same coin. Razor-sharp and darkly clever, CHICAGO: TEEN EDITION breathes new energy into John Kander and Fred Ebb’s unforgettable score and Bob Fosse’s iconic choreography.
This production of CHICAGO: TEEN EDITION is the culmination of The Theatre Lab’s renowned Musical Theatre Institute for Teens (MTIT), an intensive four-week training program in which participants rehearse and perform a full musical production under the guidance of the area’s most esteemed directors. For over 30 years, The Theatre Lab has provided the Washington region with award-winning theatre education. We are the largest independent drama school in DC, with classes for students of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels in acting, musical theatre, playwriting, TV, film, voiceover, and much more.
