Lemonboy is the solo project of queer singer‑songwriter Adam Greczkowski. Born and raised in Putnam, Connecticut, Adam discovered his passion for songwriting at an early age, cultivating his artistic voice through active involvement in community theatre, and as a student and teacher at the Complex Performing and Creative Arts Centre. It was during this formative time in his life that members of his chosen family gave him the affectionate nickname “Lemonboy.” When he accomplished his lifelong dream of recording an album of original music, Adam chose to honor the community that made the record possible by releasing it under the name they had given him.
Now based in Washington, DC, Lemonboy’s self‑titled debut album was recorded in collaboration with members of his chosen family and GRAMMY‑winning sound engineer Charlie Pilzer. The record navigates themes of identity, self‑discovery, kindness, loss, and vulnerability. Each song offers an intimate glimpse into Adam’s life and story. It has been his greatest joy to share this project with them and to weave their support and love into each track. Over the past two years, he’s performed his original music on multiple tours, nurturing connections with audiences through heartfelt, vulnerable performances. In addition to his solo work, Adam serves as a baritone section leader for the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC.
