October 3 7:00 pm
At the heart of this special event is a rare, intimate roundtable with members of three of New Orleans’ most influential civil rights families — the Francis, Landrieu, and Morial families — whose leadership represents a powerful, enduring legacy that helped shape not just New Orleans but the broader arc of American democracy.
Shining a light on a state whose pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement is too often overlooked, this conversation — brings forward a legacy of courage, collaboration, and breakthrough leadership, connecting that history directly to the challenges and responsibilities of today.
Adding to the experience, Crush Funk Brass Band will bring the spirit of New Orleans to life through live music and a special presentation on the tradition of Second Line parades — a joyful, community-rooted practice long serving as an expression of resilience, remembrance, and celebration.
