A rollicking musical puppet show about pirates created from trash who teach children to recycle, reuse, reduce, and repair as they sail the “urban seas” led by Captain Jack Sparetire.

Recycling Pirates is an educational musical featuring puppet characters made from trash. Captain Jack Sparetire and his crew search the urban seas for items to recycle, reuse, reduce, and repair. The story follows Shelley, a young girl whose trash is seized by a pirate who claims it is treasure. She visits their junkyard, learns the pirates’ favorite letter—“R”—and meets characters like Rags the dog and Red, who demonstrates repairing a wagon. The pirates even operate a plastic‑recycling machine, and everyone bands together to defeat the monster Landfill.
