4:30 pm – Join us in the Lab for new music by our own CCS Composers League
5:00 pm – Head to the lobby for an instrument petting zoo
5:30 pm – End your day in the Lang theater for a full orchestra concert. Join us as we explore with music from Amy Beach’s finale of Symphony No. 2, the first symphony composed and published by a female American composer, to Carlos Simon’s The Block depicting life in Harlem. The program also includes pieces by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, grammy-nominated Chinese-American composer Zhou Tian, Mexican composer Arturo Marquez, and more!
