The Atlas Performing Arts Center
welcomes submissions for our INTERSECTIONS Festival 2018
Where the Art World and Real World Intersect
February 23 to March 10, 2018
The Atlas INTERSECTIONS Festival is a performing arts festival that presents work that impacts our society, culture, and world by informing, inspiring, educating, and entertaining. INTERSECTIONS is about presenting excellent art that inspires a connected community, engaged artists and audiences alike, and creates a vibrant neighborhood, city, and world. We are interested in your unique perspectives and how your art connects us to the many facets of our humanity. How your art intersects with the real world is what we want to know, and what we aim to show.
During 2018, The Atlas Performing Arts Center will be in partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and 14 other DC arts organizations in celebration of the Leonard Bernstein Centennial. In light of this partnership, INTERSECTIONS Festival 2018 also encourages submissions which include performances of Bernstein’s work, respond to his music, or connect to issues that were important to the composer, such as AIDS research, civil rights, Amnesty International, disarmament and world peace. Information and inspiration on Bernstein and his legacy available here.
