Days without dates
INTERSECTIONS welcomes a compelling international production that provocatively presents a contemporary view on the impact of war, post-war trauma, and the healing process throughout the last century. This mixed media theatre performance intertwines testimonies of veterans, nurses, and their families. JESSA is a company built around international theatre artist Jessa Wildemeersch and remixes historical and present day events into performances, in collaboration with local and global artists and communities. Days without dates is created in collaboration with renowned Belgian theatre company Braakland/ZheBilding and independent filmmaker Julie De Clercq. Experience a universal story of deep personal experiences connected with wider historical events.
The performance is part of the artistic commemoration of The Great War and is supported by The Flemish Community in Belgium, VGC Brussels, the City of Ostend, The Province of West-Flanders, The Embassy of Belgium in Washington, D.C and INTERSECTIONS.
Before the show: Jessa will participate in an event sponsored by the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, Wednesday March 4, 2015 at 6:00pm. Open to the public, registration required. For details visit: http://www.euintheus.org/event/conversations-in-culture-2/
